CODE OF ETHICS



FAMET Group acknowledges the importance of compliance with applicable regulations, legal provisions and codes of conduct as part of its activities, pursuant to the designated ethical standards.

     For the Group's employees, the Code is a standard of conduct with respect to peers, management, customers, partners and local communities, both in business and business-related relationships.

The Code applies to all companies of FAMET Group.


1.  UNIVERSAL VALUES FOLLOWED BY FAMET GROUP

     In both internal and external relations with its partners, FAMET Group adheres to universal values, promoting integrity, diligence and conscientiousness in executing entrusted tasks. Quality and innovation are seen as objectives set to one's individual work, open cooperation for the common good, building and retaining trust among peers and business partners, as well as respect, understanding and assistance, whatever the occupied position or diversity of beliefs.


2.  CONCERN FOR THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF WORK

    FAMET Group respects and abides by international standards concerning human rights and international standards of works, considering them as fundamental and universal. It respects and implements the provisions of the labor code and occupational health and safety regulations. It observes the prohibition to discriminate due to race, social status, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, political affiliation, age or marital status. It guarantees the freedom of opinions, conscience and religion as well as the freedom of beliefs and statements.
    FAMET Group promotes team work free from any prejudice and consciously draws its strengths and values from the diversity of its employees. It makes all efforts to provide its employees with fair and regular pay, opportunities for development and promotion, training and good working conditions. It protects its employees' copyrights and respects their intellectual property. It respects the prohibition of employment of children under 15, forced work, corporal punishment, mental and physical constraints and insults, as well as the prohibition of sexual harassment. FAMET Group considers the place of work as free from the above mentioned practices.

3.   FAIR COMPETITION, ZERO TOLERANCE
FOR CORRUPTION

     FAMET Group respects the principles of fair competition, preventing bribery, illegal payments and corruption. FAMET Group employees are obligated to avoid any activities that may lead to a conflict of interest, that is accepting and offering gifts as part of their business and commercial activity. It is forbidden to pay or offer bribes or illegal services to government officers or representatives of political parties with the aim to conclude or maintain a transaction.

     Employees of FAMET Group companies cannot obtain any benefits or help in obtaining benefits from the opportunities which may occur as a result of using information or position in the company.


4.  ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS

     FAMET Group abides by legal provisions in scope of natural environment protection. FAMET Group companies are consciously limiting the impact of their operations on natural environment, minimizing the utilization of natural resources and the minimal generation of waste as a result of daily operation. The group also promotes an ecological lifestyle among its employees by conducting actions that encourage active involvement in protection of natural environment.

 

5.    PARTNERSHIP IN BUSINESS

      One of the key principles of FAMET Group is the responsibility for the success of its customers as well as respect for and openness to their needs.

      The Group provides their customers with innovative products of the highest quality, which is obtained as an effect of extensive skills, experience and competencies of its employees as well as cooperation with leading research and scientific centers in Poland. Additionally, the Group makes all efforts to ensure that the delivered equipment, industrial devices and steel components for industrial machines and systems meet all the highest standards and expectations of our customers.


6.   CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

     Since its establishment, the FAMET Group has been widely engaged in social action including involvement in promoting sports among youth. The group also support Polish science and education by taking part in scientific conferences and co-financing them.

     Social actions of the FAMET Group also cover sponsoring cultural events, including: sponsorship of culture festivals, concerts and events of great social importance.


Observance of the Code.

      This Code of Ethics has been approved by the Management Board of FAMET, Inc., which undertakes to regularly assess the observance to the principles included herein and review the contents of the Code on the basis of conclusions drawn from the assessment.

      The Code is distributed and popularized though actions of the employee service of FAMET Inc. as well as training for employees and managerial staff.
